Driving in California…

…is all about the u-turns.  They are required.  You can’t get from A to B without them, and one learns to do them without a second thought.  You know how often one needs to do a u-turn in Canada?  Never, that’s how often!  Qui a besoin d’un u-turn?  Personne!

But right now what I’m wondering is:  would it kill them to signal?  Apparently it would.  Because goddam they never do.  You can be right there waiting for someone at t-intersection, wondering which way he’s going to go, and never never never will he flip that post.  The idea offends his sense of self-determination.
